Only in America

I just saw the new Chrysler ad with Snoop Dog and Lee Iacocca and the thought occurred to me.
Only in America could a celebrity not only produce a line of seriously hard core XXX rated DVDs and land a major endorsement deal from a major automotive company.

What a country!!

Re: Only in America

It could simply be that Chrysler will disregard nearly anything just to latch on to a certain demographic. I don't think that's a particularly great thing, to be honest.

My suspicion is that the Chrysler people have no idea what so ever about Snoop's other ventures and I would be willing to bet That Iacocca absolutely didn

Re: Only in America

That commercial is awesome.  Anything Snoop Dogg says is cool.  Think about it, he could come up and be like "Fo shizzle my nizzle, I smurfed yo mom last night." And you'd be like "Hell yeah Snoop!"

Re: Only in America

Snoop d-o-double g also sponsors some kind of little league football team, and is very good to them. He has properly spent close to a million dollars supporting them (a team bus, uniforms, little motor scooters and trophies for winning, producing a super-bowl-like playoff for them, etc.).

So what's an improper way to spent a million dollars supporting a little league team?

Heard this on the radio show "Rick And Bubba". I have a sound byte if anyone is interested in hearing about it. They talk about him and the team for about 10 minutes I think.

That said, Gin And Juice by The Gourds is awesome.

Re: Only in America

I saw Snoop on Ellen about two weeks ago. He sold out a long time ago. He claims he doesn't even smoke the weed any more. He's suddenly got middle class white appeal to those who were just a few years ago condemning his music. The hypocrisy is stupid!

F him

BTW, you should have saw all the giddy applause he got from all those white suburban moms when he came out during his Ellen appearance. He got a standing "O" for god's sake!

Uh...

Phish has never covered Gin and Juice. Official word on the street from phish.net is that the Gin and Juice that you'll wind up downloading from a P2P network is done by The Gourds.

One of the supporting vocals is a rapper named Phish, but that's where the similarities end.

I meant to say probably... that's kind of a weird typo, I don't know how I made that one confused

You all misunderstood my saddness at no scandal. I dont care at all that Snoop makes porn.
I was looking forward to another amuseing spectical of the whitey, righty tighties getting all in an uproar over it,
That sort of thing is just funny to me.

It is kind of interesting when you think of what all the politicians are after these days such as them not liking that you could mod/remove the blur from the Sims 2 when your sims go to the potty.

It's easier to incite outrage and then look like you're doing something than it is to actually fix problems.
