Looking for a program

Hi all,

Im in search of a Mac equivelant of the windows program Filemon: http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Filemon.html

This program displays real-time hard disk activity. Theres been quite a bit of stink going around about World of Warcraft scanning users machines for hacks and such. Someone posted some interesting data using this program proving that WoW is in fact reading files it has no business getting into, and i was curious about trying to do the same thing for the mac version of the game.

If anyone knows of a bit of software or a *nix program that will do this, it would be appreciated.

Re: Looking for a program

The closest thing I can think of is "lsof", but it does a snapshot instead of real time.  However, it has a ton of options and you can tell it to just show the open files for a particular program, and you can tell it to run iteratively, so maybe it would be good enough.

I believe such activity would require admin access. I have been following this and a lot of the people who are getting all upset are either uninformed or insane (see the 1st amendment thread in the WoW general forum).
