Re: Things dumb people buy

Oatmeal:
I'd email you off list, but couldn't find an email for you. If your co-worker with the new bunny needs/wants advice, answers to questions, etc. you may give her my email and tell her to contact me. I am NOT all knowing about rabbits, but I've alot of resources I'm more than willing to share. A rabbit should not have a bad odor. It's probably just the scent glands that needed cleaning. Also, tell her that adding some Cilantro parlsey to its vegetable diet will help alot to neutralize the urine odor. Also, a good online list for pet bunny owners is www.etherbun.com.

I REALLY hope the bunny is NOT in a hutch in the backyard. Please, please, please, please, don't keep a rabbit in the backyard. They are litterbox trainable! And, there are ways to make really big, really nice indoor cages, really cheaply.

Mo' ron:
It's okay to bathe a rabbit once in a while. The thing is that it shouldn't be necessary unless the bunny has "poopy butt", scent gland problems, or other physical problems. Rabbits are very clean. A rabbit's fur doesn't shed water like a dog or cat. It takes a LONG time for the fur to dry. Being wet (and cold) for an extended period of time can cause upper respiratory problems with a rabbit. I've had Pixel (see avatar) living in the house for 2 years and have never had to bathe her and there is no litterbox odor (I specifically ask friends who visit if there's an odor and they WOULD tell me).

In very limited cases like that zero interest loans make sense but when 35% of home loans are zero interest you know the majority of people getting them are doing so to leverage themselves into a house that they actually cant afford on the basis that (fingers crossed) the apreciation will creat equity.
Given that the current housing boom has been running full tilt for over 8 years now that is a pretty risky position to put yourself in.
I have been reading lots of rumblings about a coming "adjustment" in the market and I take alot of comfort in my low interest (5 1/4%), fixed rate morgage.

I'm with you on the cigarettes. I can't even try making sense of the rest of that list though. Someone said something about getting sleeved but not paying bills on page 1. That doesn't make any sense b/c those people don't pay for their tattoos. They have friends do them for free. If theyt can't pay bills, they can't pay for tats either. Cigarettes, however, scumbags who smoke but can't pay bills, that I can't understand.

I agree. I can't drink the water here unless it's filtered, b/c it tastes horrible, usually chlorinated. Although I don't buy bottled water unless I absolutely need to, I do buy water filtration systems and filters. And, if you are a water connoiseur, all the bottled waters taste different.
