I'm still snowed under... anyway, I thought you'd know a joke when you saw it (I meant 'come play in Officers,' where you'd see no one's making fun of you). And [MA] founder Kirk is older than I am.

I want to play too. I'll see what I can fit in, but no promises the next few days.

Bat, quit whinning about your hardware and play. My 15" PB is crap compared to a few others for playing Halo, but I don't give a damn, I play.

Chill it, Digi. Like you just said, you used to want to play, now you don't. If you're not going to help breathe new life into the group, then please don't make the problem worse by coming in here and belittling the other members, etc. That's only compounding the problem.

My iMac's hard drive failed in January and with school I have had time to reinstall any games yet, so I've just been playing on my Windows slave machine (since I spent $150 on an ATI card so I could play Half Life 2 and counter strike etc.) Perhaps we should convert this to also an AA clan? Though I took a break from that for awhile and now that I return it's half germans on the servers, I don't care its just interesting. It's just a free game and you can play it on almost any hardware. Maybe if my friend will give me his PC halo 1 disc I'll pop on this summer. Or there's talk of me either getting a g5 tower or a cheap used car this summer....

Long story short I wish I could join you guys now but I have finals this week, come may 2nd I'll pop back over here and see what's up. Is the MA server still passworded? Perhaps we should make it open again so at least there would be people in there...

I'm not not playing because of inadeguate hardware; my Haloing's been at 1600x1200 since 8/'04. I'm snowed under with real work, of which a little time here and there doing the comp upgrade is the fun, relaxing part. Still, I'd rather get my license renewed before it expires, renew my plates, pay bills, put food on the table, get my teeth seen to and about 1,000 other things- or at least the most pressing of them- before promising to set time aside for games. With the rest of the family dead and me disabled, I can't really let those things slide, as no one else will do them for me, and I can't get to them very fast.

There's just a Forum, [MA] Officers, where clan policy and whatnot is discussed. Only recent topic is about the possible impact of Bootcamp on [MA].

Ever notice how, after you post, the Gooogle ads all become about/for Mankato? smile

Is there still a semi-official [MA] IRC channel? See, by the time I come here, look to see if anybody has posted in the "Official Play" thread and either go looking for them or move on, my Short Attention Span has struck & I move on.

I can idle in IRC (on the 2nd monitor no less) so if somebody happens through and feels like playing, I'm up for it.

Granted it won't help people like me with an older iMac (though as I said I have a windows slave comp) but for anyone with intel mac, it's time MA started representin' on the windows server. I say we get together once boot camp and intel really hit. We plan 6-12 member join some server and start laying down the law of the land like we used to on UT99 when I joined MA so long ago.

My Power Mac G4 has survived a rainstorm during a gig at an outdoor event. The winds took the tarp and the Mac wound up getting soaked, but it kept recording. shrug
