Levi, is [MA]3 down for a reason?
Tried getting on [MA]3 for some Halo action, but couldn't connect. I can't even RDC into it. Is it down for maintenance or something? Has it changed IP addresses and I didn't know? What's the for-won-1, yo?

No one ever uses it so it could have been down for awhile before you noticed it

No, some of the other Halo guys had been on in the past week.
You guys don't play UT2k4 on it anymore?

I've been trying to get onto it when other people are on, but so far it has been mostly miss. (As opposed to hit and miss.)
No luck at all even signing in this week.

Well I got enough bandwith to host the full 16 right now. However, doubt I could dedicate it unless it was my iBook. My towers are power guzzlers.

yea like every other day, i might not show up because my username is just slackjaw. Btw can someone crash course me on how to actually use that buddy list? I put MA3* as a buddy but none of you show up.
Just so that we are clear, you are talking ut2k4 right?

Re: Levi, is [MA]3 down for a reason?
Yeah. Last I checked, [MA]3 was running the UT2k4 and Halo servers. No one in Halo can connect, and I can't remote desktop into it to see if anything is wrong. The fact that you claim to be playing on it puzzles me greatly. What's the IP of the server you're connecting to?
Oh, and try using [MA]* as a buddy list filter and see if that helps.

No, no body did.
Sorry fellas...RL has consumed me whole, in one gulp.
Sersiously tho, MA3 is out until further notice. We've gone through some huge hardware upgrades which includes a new Cisco PIX firewall, Cisco 2800 series router (in addition to the 2600 we had), new Cisco Airnet wireless system, Exchange server, and a handful of Cisco level 3 switches (basicly the whole network infastructure is all new with Cisco gear). All in the hopes of doing VOIP and VPNs at work in the very near future. I'm sooo busy I don't have the time to learn the new commands on the PIX to config the DMZ.
MA3 will be back but not this week...maybe half way into next. I think by that time I'll have my Outlook clients move to Exchange and the users trained on the new features. Well put it this way I NEED to be done by then or the boss man may want to talk to me.
Those of you who know what I'm talking about get a life and sell your Cisco stock.

Sorry for the errors...its been a nutso couple of weeks. MY IT staff have been doing tons of OT...oh wait I don't have any staff, its just me.

I know I emailed you, but I can't recall if it was your home or work address. At least we know what's going on now. Thanks for the heads up Levi!

*Finally comes back from store, UT2004 in hand*
Good, looks like I didn't miss much.

Hey Llev - I'm a CCIE (#1937) and spend most of every day working on PIX boxes for our various customers. If you think I can help let me know and I'll do what I can.
Good luck!

Re: Levi, is [MA]3 down for a reason?
Thanks OFSG!!!! I'll keep it in mind if my vendor fails me.
Sigh sorry guys I thought/planned to get it up this week but other pressing matters have taken hold. Like why my Veritas backups keep failing, why isn't my spam filter not catching spam, clients can't write to the shared drive because of permission issues, testing VPN connections and so on. Oh and THE biggest issue we couldn't get at our 3rd party hosted web site because of DNS issues (long story).

Re: Levi, is [MA]3 down for a reason?
Awesome, glad to hear it should come back up soon.
And that sucks on the UPS. What make? Did you order direct from the company, or through something like CDW-G?
