Just got my copy yesterday... game is a little funky - just kind throws you in there without much info. The lack of Z-Targeting blows too.

I like how you can beat the game in about 5 minutes if you know what you are doing.

Yeah, but that's only the first game. Heh, imagine being the character IN the game though! LOL.
I just got the Myst V Limited Edition today! Hopefully it'll take a long time to beat....

Re: So, whats everyone playing?
I finished Mechwarrior 3 today, and started in on the Pirate's Moon Expansion for it, which is really effing hard compared to the MW3 campaign. Damn.
So, yeah, except for the graphics, this game is about a bazillion times better than MW4.

Re: So, whats everyone playing?
Can anyone tell me if a G4 2.0Ghz SP/128MB 9800 Pro would play WoW pretty well? I'm considering those upgrades for my Quicksilver if they would work close to awesome. Otherwise, I'll just stick with my Athlon XP 2700/128MB OC 6600GT. Any thoughts?
Thanks

SW Battlefront, KotOR, StarCraft (rocks ass), UT2K4, LOTR: TROTK, Tropico 2, JK, JA. Good stuff. If you're a WoW person, you may enjoy NWN. Neverwinter nights and WoW are very different, but the Fairy tale RPG concept stays the same, and with both expansions out for Mac, you will most likely spend about 200 hours on that game. Make sure you have a time machine ready, because there is no way in hell that you will finish this before the end of your college carrier.

That G4 system would work wonders. The only trouble is that the 128MB 9800 pro is ridiculously hard to find, considering that it is discontinued. My adivce is unless you can find the 9800 and have plenty of cash for this upgrade, stick with your Athlon and wait two years to buy an Intel G6 that will (hopefully) kick ass for gaming.

I wouldn't bother; your Athlon rig is much more capable as a gaming machine than even a stock machine at those specs (which would have a faster bus).

I've played one game of C&C Generals since I moved into the dorms, and the F.E.A.R. demo. Turns out that partying and going out is a tad bit more satisfying than playing video games all the time.

Holy smurf! When I wen to their site, they didn't have them and a sales rep told me the never will again! Dem bizzitches! I worked my ass off trying to find one on eBay! Luck bastard.
But, yeah, the bus speed is lousy on pretty much all g4s that the Athlon is still a better gaming choice. Nevertheless, wait and buy a g6 anyway.

Re: So, whats everyone playing?
I've had Ghost Recon for months, but it took a while to get tired of Soldier of Fortune 2.
Ghost Recon's got me hooked. It's a FPS that actually requires some tactical planning. If your plan is wrong, it's pretty hard to shoot your way out, as I'm accustomed to doing with other FPS games. I feel kind of guilty when I get my team slaughtered.
