I'm playing American Magee's Scrapland on my PC, damn it's fun. Why had I never heard about this game before this weekend?
I've looked at that before, and was interested. I respected the artistic bravado of Alice, and was curious whether Scrapland had similar detail attention. How's the gameplay?

Re: So, whats everyone playing?
McGee has made himself something of a brand name. IIRC he had little or nothing to do with Scrapland's dev; it's more of a celebrity endorsement.
Still, the game has had fairly good notices.

Good ol' point-and-clicks. I just finished Beneath A Steel Sky (GREAT game) and just getting started on Flight Of The Amazon Queen.
Both are now freeware for anyone interested.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005. It's awesome if you're into golf games (which I've been ever since I played MacGolf on my Mac Plus).

I'm guessing the other ScummVM-compatible games are not freeware. Am I guessing correctly?

Correct. Both Beneath a Steel Sky and Flight of the Amazon Queen have been released as freeware by Revolution Games, makers of the fairly well-known Broken Sword games.
Any other ScummVM games you play without paying for are pirated. Even Escape from Monkey Island.

Oooh! I'll be better next time.
But seriously. Beneath a Steel Sky needs to be a movie or something. What a great game.

Re: So, whats everyone playing?
Star Trek Voyager:Elite Force. Doom III ( just starting up to playing it online). Quake 3 (playing for years, then stopped to play Elite Force, back to playing it again now
). Halo abit. Not really into that game online though. Not sure why. Just doesn't have the feel of any of the other 3 I play. Unreal2k3/4 is still a good game. Don't play that much though.

Re: So, whats everyone playing?
is elite force really that good? If you say so, I'll hop on over to compUSA and pick up a copy. I just thought that it was the same as practically all games before it.

Re: So, whats everyone playing?
I enjoyed both Elite Force 1 and 2 on my PC. The expansion pack for EF1 was a blast, as it let you basically take a tour of Voyager. Some rooms weren't mapped into it, but the crew quarters for all the officers, 10-Forward, etc were all included. And you gotta love holodeck training simulations!
Oh, and I just started playing Black & White 2 last night. Dear lord, its a beautiful game!
