Re: apple logo color change.
Very nice. May I suggest that you post your tutorial somewhere and ask Accelerate Your Mac to link to it? I'm sure that others would be interested.

Re: apple logo color change.
Sorry, how to do this used to be clearer. Write to news@xlr8yourmac.com with "accelerate_comments" as the subject line (I found this email link near the bottom of this page.

Yes. But some people don't care.

Re: apple logo color change.
My only question is what did you use for the color? I ended up getting swatches from Rosco and using them :-P. They worked pretty damn well, but I'm always interested in trying different materials.

As far as cracking the screen goes, with most of the iBooks out there, the warranty is long gone.

I did the same thing to my pismo. The warranty was way out of date.
I love seeing and reading about modded laptops.

Re: apple logo color change.
a real girls computer here.. www.muahs.com/apple.html
to change the look simply take the 4 hex screws off carefully <--
pry it apart and insert a color.
what i used is- i went to a office store and bought a clear color folder -it was 99 cents.cut it in a square and clear taped it secure. Just a cheap solution for a pink apple.

Re: apple logo color change.
Do you think it's possible to make a logo that changes color? Or maybe put something glow-in-the-dark in there? Maybe even a thin lcd?

Re: apple logo color change.
really hard, but maybe with fiber optics and mini-LEDs...There isn't a whole lot of space back there as the way I understand it, the Apple logo is a piece of plastic that backs up onto an open area of the LCD back light diffuser thingy.
