I turned off dashboard as I opened it far more times on accident then I ever used it.

i just can't get used to a left side dock. it just feels so weird to use. i have to stick to the bottom.
I've always wanted to have a suitcase handcuffed to my wrist.

screen shot from "Feel Good Inc" by the Gorillaz.
I then turned it into a medium quality GIF with the color set reduced to create the blockly but natural coloration.
also its orginally only about 200 pixles wide so when its blown up to 1280*1024 the blocky-ness looks very cool.

I like it because I can stretch a window vertically more, as most content is arranged that way. The only downside is the few apps that don't bump over windows/palettes for the dock on the left. Grrr.

You Control is a great program.
iTunes, weather, full calendar, memory monitor, disk activity, address book, preferences, kick ass pasteboard...
and there are several other items that i don't use.
it did seem cluttered at first,
but now they are such a part of how i use my rig...
i wouldn't want to be without it.
and it really doesn't seem so busy on my Apple alum monitor.
i can't believe this is not a paid endorsement.

Definitley. It's my favorite desktop picture. I added a water effect to the bottom of it with photoshop.
I had a guy surfing the biggest wave for a while, but I had to bring this one back.
