iPod battery claim confusion

I bought a a 4G 20 GB iPod in August 2004. Lately my battery has only been lasting a few hours. Am I covered under the battery claim? I'm reading the form and I can't figure out what date ranges are covered, etc... Can anyone help me out? Am I covered under this? Thanks.

Re: iPod battery claim confusion

"The Court has conditionally ruled that the Litigation may be maintained on behalf of the following Class:
All persons or entities residing in the United States who purchased or obtained a First, Second, or Third Generation iPod on or before May 31, 2004."

That's definitely not you.

You don't have applecare or a 3rd party protection plan? You can replace it yourself or have somebody else replace it for -$100. I don't remember what apple's charging now but there are a ton of other places out there that will do it for you if you're scared. I think OWC's got some videos of the procedure.

Honestly, I don't get it. I've got 4 ipods and they're all going strong...well...batteries anyway. Even my G1 5GB Scrolly still gets a good 5 hours.

Re: iPod battery claim confusion

Thanks. Bummer.

Anyways, anyone know if iPod Juice is a reputable iPod battery site? I don't wanna go with some fly-by-night shop.
