Re: Overpower Weekend
Here's the deal: we've had several different versions of an Overpower Mod of some sort or another. Some versions have PPFs, some don't. I don't know which ones are which except for Tracks' version, which I have specifically labelled as being his. That one never had a PPF. I'm working on putting all these mod files onto the web server, and I'll let you guys decide which one we want to use.

Re: Overpower Weekend
I remember tracks' didn't work- it crashed Macs, or kicked them so you had to rejoin games after a map change. I think jeap fixed it... but without trying, who knows what works? I would think the 'last modified' version would, if that's with the the file data.

Re: Overpower Weekend
it might still be intact, or it oculd've changed when I did the hard drive swap.

Re: Overpower Weekend
Cool deal!
Yeah, the fixing of the map file to work on macs is actually really easy, you just have to open it in a program and then save it. It automatically fixes all of the re-occurring offsets (that would be the problem... PC version allows this)

Well. Halo is now running on my computer except it's version 1.02. I can't find any of the updaters besides 1.5.2 so right now i'm screwed.

Re: Overpower Weekend
1.02 happens to be the lowest mac version, otherwise known as a fresh install. Not necessarily pirate

So what's the prob?
Halo 1.5.2
This application will update all previous versions of Mac Halo to version 1.5.2. This Updater is for the U.S. (ie, English) retail version of Halo only.

Re: Overpower Weekend
And if it doesn't work for you, I'll try to get all the Mac patches onto the web server too.
I can't get anything to work right now, though. My remote connection to my PC at home isn't working anymore, so I can't get these files available to anyone until Sunday (maybe Saturday, but I doubt it). Likewise, I can't get into [MA]3 to make changes, upload files, etc, since all that is on my PC at home.
So, if I can't miraculously get back into my PC, shall we postpone OP Weekend one more week?

Re: Overpower Weekend
I could live with a few more days of DD. Maybe New Mombasa Classic for Sunday?

Re: Overpower Weekend
And yeah, Zander, if you get really desperate I could just send you the Halo App and shader folder, which is like all the updater updates anyway. But you should be able to get it to work with just that updater.
Edit: Did I hear Mombasa?

Re: Overpower Weekend
Yep. Since it looks like OP next weekend anyway, I thought NMC would be a good change of pace this weekend, or at least Sunday. I hopped on for a bit last night, and there's really nothing more boring than solo DD Slayer on Icefields.
I've still got NMC on the hard drive from last year, and as I recall it's a great driving map. Should be perfect to swap into the DD lineup.

Re: Overpower Weekend
Jeap and I had a blast ramming into each other at full speed on NMC. Often we would both go flying off the highway.
I also enjoyed driving to the top of the parking lot and zipping off the edge.

Re: Overpower Weekend
When was that, and on who's server?
I gave up after BC didn't show and I needed to get storm windows on. Got down to 12 degrees overnight and it got COLD in the house. (Maybe not by MN or AL standards, but I'm more affected these days and the wind was up. Still got a couple to go. Inetrnal structures soaking up heat like sponges).
Still working on fixing HD data corrupted by a blown tranformer in the alley coupla nights back. Fun fun.
