Nice! They have NightRider? I guess maybe they'll have a lot of other classic shows. I know there are a lot of Cheers and Cosby and Seinfeld shows that I might buy, and a lot of SNL skits I'd like to have.
Also, they have Conan! The boy band skit was one of my all-time favorites - downloading it as I type.

Count me in as one of them, and I'd like to be able to enjoy the shows they offer now. So glad to see that this is taking off though! Good for Apple, and I hope they continue to improve on it.

I hope they're working on getting FOX on board, that'd be awesome...

You're going to watch a three hour mini series or hour long TV shows on a 2inch screen?

on vidipod you can chose widescreen or full
Those videos have already been cropped for fullscreen. That data is permanently gone. Playing them at a widescreen aspect ratio would only make them look worse. They'd be squished.

And on a side note. Apple's horrible compression is enough to keep me from downloading BSG on iTunes. Those episodes are all blurry, bleh.
Quite honestly, Apple's "large" movie trailers look 10 times better then the content they sell on iTunes.

Maybe they look better because they aren't compressed as much?

Yeah, but i'd rather not miss half the show, esp. if i am paying for it.
Plus, i'm more likely to watch this on my 21" monitor or my Powerbook (where I normally watch it, after I download it with bittorrent), so the tiny, non-widescreen screen doesn't matter to me.
Even if I had an iPod video, I would probably not watch more than music videos on it (which I won't pay to download, considering they're free elsewhere).

Well, obviously
I wish Apple would simply offer 2 quality settings. Perhaps a crappy fuzzy fullscreen, and a less compressed widescreen.

TV on iTunes is to sell Video iPods (like iTMS is used to sell iPods)... how many deaf/hard of hearing people own iPods?

You'd probably pay two to three times as much for it then…

I hardly think that's the point. If they are providing content that is available to be watched (which is captioned on television) then it would be nice to have the captioning capability with these downloads as well. Perhaps this doesn't affect you, but it does affect many people. I do not have any hearing impairments, but I do watch most of my television programs with the captioning turned on - I just like it that way...and I wouldn't mind videos on iTMS having captioning as well.

I'm one of them. While my hearing loss is significant, I can hear enough to enjoy music and enjoy it on the iPod still. There may be more than you think.

I'm well aware of the whole deaf bit - I go to school with a ton of hearing impaired students. But seriously, I doubt one of the target demographics for the iTunes Music Store are deaf people.
