Show and tell...

As I sit here minlessly laying count downs (the story of my life) I'm having trouble remembering what it was like to be creative.  And I know people like to share there work, so show show me yours and i'll show you mine.

Peter Peter Based on a nursury rhyme.... mostly.  (its got a little bit of swearing)

Re: Show and tell...

Those were both cool.  You did a good job of setting up the tension between husband and wife in the first one with just a few shots.  I liked the laundry's POV in the second one.  I'm sure I'm not the only one who winced reflexively when the dryer sounds started up. smile

I posted this a little while ago as I came here looking for help with the audio, but I'll re-link it:
How To Chill.  It was shot on Super-8 black and white film and tranasferd to digital for editing. The QT compression makes it a bit jumpier than it looks at full quality, but you'll get the idea.

Re: Show and tell...

Sorry, I was referring to thinking about the camera in the dryer when it was turned on.  I know it really wasn't, but I had visions of the camera spinning around in there. wink

Re: Show and tell...

I'm sure its more interesting then the stuff they pay me to do.  news is rather boring.  Editing the news is compeatly devoid of any creativity.... half the video I get is lacking nat sound and suffers from serious generation loss.

eStarmony.com

A minor masking issue in a couple parts, but it was outside the action safe area, and not visible on the TV, so I didn't worry about it at the time. Will be fixed soon.

Yes, but if you touch my tapes you will loose a body part.   I start with fingers and then move onto bigger limbs.

What version of QuickTime are you using?  I think you need version 7 to watch it as I encoded with h.264.  I can put up a QT 6 version if people can't watch h.264.

I want a suite!  I have a little booth that is only mine for the few hours at a time I'm in there.  I can't even leave pens in it or they'll be gone when i get back the next day sad

Re: Show and tell...

I guess I'll show in tell a bit.

I just finished redesigning the portfolio site for the firm I work for:shrug:
http://www.designpoolstudio.com/

As for my personal portfolio site... I have piles of work here that I need to shoot and scan. But I never seem to have time to upload it. Most of the stuff on my personal web space tends to be ridiculous crap involving cardboard robots.

Why, thanks.  I didn't care for it much when I first did it, but it's grown on me a lot since then.

Ah, I remember this one.  The video that suddenly made my Dual 1ghz G4 seem oh so inadequate.  Back in the day when Droo was still cookin' up cool vids, and there were (gasp) girls in the MA offices.

GA: Love the Star Wars vids.  Especially the eHarmony spoof.

HeadlessBill: Another thumbs up to the FBI recruiting video.

AAPL: That portfolio is great.  I only wish I had the time to teach myself some flash . . .

As to making my video QT6 compliant, I'm having difficulty getting it down to a decent size so that my host doesn't time out when I upload it.  I originally went with h.264 because I could get it under 10mb and have decent image quality.  I'll keep playing around with it, but I honestly don't expect to get it done for this round of show and tell, sorry.

Keep up the good work everyone.  Very inspiring!

That was awesome...I especially like how all the sounds were caught on camera.

Thanks!
