About a month ago, my Powerbook started popping open, generally when she was in her bag. It got worse and worse and I eventually came to believe the problem was that her hinge had too much tension on it.

So I bought some $5 hinge lube and now it's as smooth as silk, but still pops open. In fact, it won't stay closed unless you use a significant amount of force. The latch looks to be the same as it's been for the last two years.

Anybody else have this problem with their Powerbook?
