You coudn't play when you couldn't mount your CD, someone else misplaced his, Icks has been reinstalling and such and I'm doing similar hardware upgrading/ software [re]installing. Too many tied up to get a good session going. OK for you, not for us? We'll play when the machines are ready- tin cans and string don't work too well. Not on Halo, anyway.

That statement was not directly about you, Bat. It was about everyone (including myself) over the past few months. It always seems that we are saying next week.

Well, since I smurfed up my knee yesterday, I can't do much of anything today. If anyone really wants to play at all today, I am game!

Re: Are we ever going to play again?
Well, I will be milking then, however, I plan to start earlier than normal so I hopefully will be done by 6:30-7:00 ish and I will get on as soon as possible. I miss the old days of playing as well!
Oh, and I have a friend that may be interested in playing. Is it okay if he joins us? I have to talk to him when he is off of school and see if he is interested. What is the procedure for bringing on new people? Am I allowed to tell him the PW, or does he have to contact you guys directly?

Re: Are we ever going to play again?
A friend of yours is a friend of ours. Feel free to pass along the keys so he can get in on his own, and let him enjoy the server!
Depending on how quickly I get done running laundry, I should be able to play for a while tonight. I even came home from work early (1:45 instead of 5:15) to get started on it early, so if I'm lucky I should be available by 7pm (again, central time)

Cool. Now I just have to figure out why Halo keeps crashing hard every time I try to connect to the server.....

Re: Are we ever going to play again?
i don't remember if we have the mods loaded still and I can't verify that but if they are up that would explain why Halo crashes on ya.
Hmmm... 7 you say? Well Scrubs is at 7 but I could hop on at 8 and play till 9. Boston Legal is on, Spader and Shatner baby!

Re: Are we ever going to play again?
So, what mods do I need to download, and where can I get them? I am currently downloading the ones linked to in the Overpower Weekend thread. Also, when I get them, how do I install them?

Re: Are we ever going to play again?
Oooof. I think the files you are downloading now are the all the ones you need. As for installing I would have to look at them but again I can't. Damned school firewalls. Anyway, I believe all you have to do is drop the new map files in the Maps folder. MAKE SURE TO MAKE A BACK UP COPY OF THE ORIGINAL MAP!!!!

Okay, that worked! I was just on for a bit. I have to get going with chores so I can get in early to play. My friend seems interested in joining us tonight, so hopefully there will be some good times!

I am still trying to install Halo on my computer. Stupid scratches. If I can't install via cd I may go other routes. Hopefully I will be good to go soon.

Re: Are we ever going to play again?
I can try, but it'd be pretty ad hoc, and not right away. Things've been nuts here. Shame if I missed it, tho.
Been wondering where you've been, Orion! Good to see you post. Hope I can get out there.

Re: Are we ever going to play again?
Well, I'm still on. My friend had to go do homework, but he schooled me pretty good. My tank was defective, because the turret woudln't fire, then it would fire randomly on its own. If people get on later, he said to call him back and maybe he could hop back on. My ping has been in the low to mid 300's, so I am pretty choppy right now!

Oh yeah man. The tank shoots out sniper rounds so it would be defective.
I should be able to join you by 11 at the very latest if everything goes well.

Re: Are we ever going to play again?
This sems to make the thread answer a loud "yes." By the end Orion and I were alone on TMC with 400% shields, empty guns and infinite 'nades trying to bludgeon/nade each other to death... he finally got me after some prelim SR headshots (me in the tank)- laughed so hard my eyes burned
, then I got the second with about 18 plas nades stuck to him, 2 or 3 in the face. Now Cortana won't bet me again that I can stick it.
(By the, O, enable AF in the .cfg by making... hmm... the list hasn't been updated in awhile, so you'd probably be best using the last section ending in 'unknown' unless you can Device-ID the card).
...
0x0311 = "GeForceFX 5600 Ultra"
0x0312 = "GeForceFX 5600"
0x0318 = "GeForceFX"
0x0319 = "GeForceFX"
0x0321 = "GeForceFX 5200 Ultra"
0x032a = "GeForceFX 500"
0x032b = "GeForceFX 500"
0x032f = "GeForceFX 500"
0x0338 = "GeForceFX 3000"
Unknown = "Unknown"
//UseAnisotropicFilter
...
becomes
...
0x0311 = "GeForceFX 5600 Ultra"
0x0312 = "GeForceFX 5600"
0x0318 = "GeForceFX"
0x0319 = "GeForceFX"

You can try forcing a level, but "app pref" seems to work well. It is better to enable it this way first. Don't know if it works on "John Deere, Americal Farmer."

I still don't get how this could be anyone's definition of "a good time", but I digress.
Can we have something on the status page that lets us know if any of the mods are turned off or on? That would be handy.
