5, no wait, 6 blade razor?!
Seriously. 5 on the front, one on the back.

Anyone else reminded of that SNL parody of the Mach 3?

I think that "microchip" controls things such as jiggle'n, no jiggle'n, and the battery light.
Maybe is jiggles harder when the blade gets older.
all in all, it's just a vibrator with a razor on one end

STOP ADDING BLADES! It doesn't do anything! don't like it? Shave a little more later!

Even with four blades, I still go over the shaved area more than once. I don't think adding blades will change this.

I think it's a little ridiculous, but on one hand, the Mach 3 does rock, so maybe gilette isn't completely talking out of their ass.
I'm still not sold on the vibrating razor thing though.

Actually, the Mach3 Turbo (vibrating blades) rocks slightly more so than the standard Mach3.

Re: 5, no wait, 6 blade razor?!
Here's the report from Engineering. Someone put it in the bathroom: I want to wipe my ass with it. They don't tell me what to invent—I tell them. And I'm telling them to stick two more blades in there. I don't care how. Make the blades so thin they're invisible. Put some on the handle. I don't care if they have to cram the fifth blade in perpendicular to the other four, just do it!

Really? How so?
The mach 3 is about as close as I want to shave. I get a thick beard and I can get ingrown hairs easily if I shave too close.

It's not a closer shave. It's a better shave.

Say hello to the Shillette Jedi. The only razor that is a lightsaber, giving you the closest shave by carving a layer of skin off your face!
Instantly cauterizes the wound!
Practically the point that they're getting to these days.

Re: 5, no wait, 6 blade razor?!
I liked the vibrating Mach 3, it's more comfortable. My face irritates easily, and the vibrating razor didn't seem much closer, but definitely hurt less and resulted in less irritation. I've actually found the vibrating Quatro to be a little better though. It's not a lot closer than the Mach 3, but it is easier, and more comfortable still. But I think I may just not know how to shave... It never seems to be close enough... heh
