Re: Winter Olympics 2006

Shaun White ate the halfpipe up....so did the American women....

Other than that, it was fun to watch Bode "Drunky" Miller fault on one of the events.... Michael Walchhofer chew up the downhill.

Luckily I have CBC broadcasting so I don't get a retail media slant on things.

And (flame away) I love curling.

Crap.

Yeah, the Olympics are teh suck now.

Does "AZN" specifically mean Asian-American?

I've been watching. That speed skating kicks ass. I was also really impressed by the women's snowboarding this year. Last year I couldn't help but think that they should be embarrassed by how much the dudes showed them up. Like 20' airs vs. 5'. This year there were a few of em that seemed to be trying to lessen the gap. I hope I didn't miss the curling!

lol Same here. I haven't watched the games at all so far this year. But I'll definitely tune in when it's time for Canada to defend its gold medal in men's hockey...

Re: Winter Olympics 2006

This article was out a few days ago, and it's probably the worst thing I've ever read in my life.  It's about reviving the interest in the Olympics.  In reality, every 'suggestion' this crackpot makes is EXACTLY WHY PEOPLE DON'T LIKE WATCHING THE OLYIMPICS ANYMORE.

I have the same problem. It's something about DRM, and aquiring licenses for content. I tried everything I could to get the new videos to play, and they wouldn't (a few of the older ones do, though).

Looks like a piss-poor implementation of DRM.
