I'd like to see this compared to other hunting "accidents" in texas legally speaking.

How you like my chrome?', then I watched the rookie pass out.
Didn't have to blast him, but I did anyway...

Poland was main CIA European detention base: paper
link thing
December 9, 2005

WARSAW (Reuters) - Poland was the heart of the CIA's secret detention network in Europe until recently, an analyst of the U.S.-based Human Rights Watch organization was quoted as telling a Polish newspaper.

"Poland was the main base for CIA interrogations in Europe, while Romania played more of a role in the transfer of detained prisoners," analyst Marc Garlasco was quoted on Friday by Polish daily Gazeta Wyborcza as saying in an interview.

He said the allegations were based on information from CIA sources and other documents obtained by Human Rights Watch. "We have leads, circumstantial evidence to check but it's too early to reveal them," Garlasco said.

Human Rights Watch said in a statement it had not reached conclusions about CIA operations in eastern Europe.

"Human Rights Watch has collected information that CIA airplanes traveling from Afghanistan in 2003 and 2004 made direct flights to remote airfields in Poland and Romania," it said in a statement issued by its New York office.

"Human Rights Watch has not reached conclusions about CIA operations in Eastern Europe," it said. "We are continuing to investigate the issue."
Both Poland and Romania deny hosting secret CIA jails and the United States has declined to comment on the reports.

Garlasco was quoted as saying that the CIA had set up two detention centers in Poland, which were closed shortly after the Washington Post published an article about secret prisons last month.

The Polish centers held a quarter of the 100 detainees estimated held in such camps worldwide, he said.

Garlasco was not immediately available for comment.

[...]

So the question remains...just who is the U.S. Ambassador to Poland?

He's 78 with a trauma admission, he's gonna be in something other than basic care.

No big deal. The guy is a lawyer, and Cheney is just applying "Tort reform."

Good thing it was not Ted Kennedy being shot! Just imagine that HUGE target (Ted) blocking all the shotgun pellets eek None would have been able to miss!

...maybe Vice President Dick needs to slip a "magic shotgun" shell into Whittington's ambulance gurney?

confused
Do you suppose that Attorney Whittington (or his family) might sue the Vice President and Halliburton mult-millionaire Dick?

Re: VP Dick Cheney personally shoots a man.

Hasn't Cheney gone hunting with a Supreme Court Justice?  (Scalia, I think).

Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.  Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet."  They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew.

Former US Ambassador to Switzerland was there.

The sun would have been in Cheney's eyes when looking at the victim Whittington

E&P speculates on issues of "coverup", althought they did not use that word.

Apparently, Whittington is out of intensive care.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported today that 500 farm-raised pheasants were released yesterday morning at the Rolling Rock Club in Ligonier Township for the benefit of Cheney's 10-person hunting party. The group killed at least 417 of the birds, illustrating the unsporting nature of canned hunts. The party also shot an unknown number of captive mallards in the afternoon.

I personally don't have much of an opinion of hunting raised animals.  I also can see trophy hunting, though I think its silly.  Killing more than you can eat and/or mount is just sick.

From a sporting perspective, it does sound pretty weak.  Why not just shoot skeet ?

However, I do get to ask people all week "did you hear that the Vice President of the United States shot someone in the face with a shotgun?"
