hey can anyone help me with KOTOR

I haveing  some problems on the datooine level my guy is jumping all over the screen , i have the patch and i have an ibook with 1.33ghz, 768ram well its the latest version except 4 the intel, should i do this downgrading thing i hear so much about , any help would be great..

ALL of my smurfin saved games just dissaperd, can anyone tell why
i still have them on my computer but the games keeps saying that i dont have any saved games, what wrong with this, any why is this happening, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, this is so frustrating it took me forever to get were I was can anyone please help me

OK well now I did that Disk Utility cleaning and reinstald the game, and i even did a priority triminal clean-up - ( and thats suppost to make it faster)
but now the game is even slower , like whats going somone plea\z help me..

The good news is: you can fix the problem, IF you have a better gfx card than an ATI9200.
The bad news is: I don't know what page the solution is on.
