Teamspeek, cosmos.... a few questions
Hey im a GM for a guild on Dark'Thul server, and i was wondering on what teamspeek is. How does it work, and how do i use it. Also for cosmos, is there anything better, or something that is more simple, or more efficient. I just want something like a damage counter, and a few other nice ones that would benefit a priest....
Thanks

The addon "Damage Meters" will count your damage and CTMod is much better than Cosmos.
You can get both of them in the addons section at www.curse-gaming.com
I also recomend knowing www.ctmod.net that is the CT website where you can get Mod and Raid. The author is also very promt at getting out updates right after major patches.

Our PvP guild uses vent and it rocks.
I use Titan.

TeamSpeak for PCs and TeamSpeex for Mac are systems that allow voice chat in game, obviously highly useful in instances. Its not uncommon for guilds to require a member have a microphone and TS operational to come along on raids.

Some do require it but most work around it if you aren't a complete jerk (and if you are you probably won't be in the guild much longer).

Its not uncommon to require *listening* but I've never heard a guild require someone to talk.

Did I mention Vent? It totally rules. Our guild uses it a lot.

That isn't a ctmod thing, that is just Bliz screwing up, I think.

Re: Teamspeek, cosmos.... a few questions
You need to know your vent server address and port number. Click the (working from memory here) setup button and plug in the info.

Re: Teamspeek, cosmos.... a few questions
If you have to ask you're probably better off renting one. Google for 'rent teamspeak' or 'rent ventrillo'.

Re: Teamspeek, cosmos.... a few questions
If (s)he has an "always on" rig - could (s)he DL the server software?

Re: Teamspeek, cosmos.... a few questions
You need some serious bandwidth to deal with large scale raids if you are hosting your own server.

Re: Teamspeek, cosmos.... a few questions
Yeah, over 5 people you really need a lot of bandwidth (particularly in the up direction).
