Hello all. I just started Folding@Home the other day. Thanks to macskeeball for helping me getting it all set up. I have it running on my 500Mhz iMac with 512mb of ram. Tomorrow I am going to see about running it at school. We have about 25 new eMac 700Mhz 512mb ram. But I think that only one or two of them run X full time. I'll talk to my teacher and see what she says.

Also TonyPrevite, the macaddict starting page needs updated for the current version of the terminal one.

Just want to let everybody knew that you gained a new member.

Actually, it's under the same name I used for SETI. Apple Man is my name. This morning when I checked my progress, I was like 100 out of 400. So I still have a few more days untill I turn in my first WU.

I finished my first wu today. I am running the terminal version. When I finished my wu, it didn't go and get another one. I am on a 56k, and a have it set to, Ask before connecting: No. So shouldn't my iMac automaticly connect to the internet a send then recieve a wu? Is there any thing else I need to change?

Also, how long does it take for my name to show up, that I have finished a wu on the folding@home stat page?

Ok nevermind. I figured both things out. The first thing, I forgot to click the box that says, connect to internet when needed in the PPP options of the System Preferences. And I just now got credit for my WU!!! big_smile tongue Right now I am in 288 place with one unit counting for 23.6 points. The WU that i am working on right now is the same size and worth the same amount. So I ought to be done with this in around 6-7 days. YIPPY!!! cool

I turned in my second wu yesterday I believe. I am now up to place 237 with 47.2 points.
