I am Japanese and though I was born and live in America, I am quite familiar with this doll fetish culture that's developed in Japan..

This is a fact that I think you guys have over looked.
It's a "Doll Fetish".. it's not about sex with children or sex with adults...
it's about sex with dolls, whether the dolls even look human for some of these people isn't even important.

Most of the dolls are of an adult/teenage design.. but a few companies do make much younger looking models..
but you got to remember Japanese people are tiny.. so what might look like a little kid, could actually be representing a teenager.

To be quite honest if I had the money I wouldn't mind getting one of these dolls myself, some of them are really beautiful.

Now to answer some of those questions..
I see no good reason why a child like sex doll should be made illegal anywhere.
Just as I see no reason why an adult looking sex doll should be made illegal.
I mean.. truth be told the dolls them self's are not pornographic,
nor technically are they even sexual. they are just big pieces of rubber and plastic,
Yes they are imitations of the natural human form but whats wrong with that?
What people choose to do with them is they're own business.

And I don't see how it could open legal doors to anything that any other sex toy couldn't..

Now granted I'm sure if the child like dolls became available in the states we'd be hearing all kinds of news stories every time one of them is found owned by one of those sickos that actually hurts people.

and there's no doubt that such dolls would attract some pedofiles.

In the end I think it all comes down to fantasy.

We should all be allowed to live out our fantasies as we see fit
and be allowed to use what ever we need to fulfill them.
as long as it doesn't directly harm anybody else or anybody else's property (or animals for that matter.. cause that's just wrong).
