Try getting a monster power strip - it is supposed to get rid of line noise.

the klipsch iFi get my highest recommendation for specific iPod speakers, althouggh they can be used as computer/tv speakers as well. currently they have some refurbs for sale at an insanely good price.

their table radios, specifically the model two's with the model subwoofer. nothing as much as these has made me enjoy listening to music again.
the one product i'm actually not a huge fan of is their iPod specific iSongBook. it's decent, but not as impressive as the rest.

After the incessant hissing from my Klipsch 5.1s and their official denial of any problem (It's a feature, not a bug), I'm going to avoid that brand for any future purposes, which will probably be a long time from now.
i have no experience with the 5.1 systems, but the 2.0, 2.1 and iFi don't suffer from any hiss.

and just think: Steve claims he is an "audiophile" and he's getting rid of his stereo equipment for the HiFi.
Scary.

2, 5, 7...whatever. If the hiss is power related you're probly going to hear it unless you plug your smurf into a line conditioner. Not just a "power strip," a "conditioner".

Haha, that's relatively inexpensive for decent audio equipment.
What is the difference between Vista and OSX?
- Microsoft employees are excited about OSX.

Well, it's two-hundred for the radio receiver and another two-hundred for the CD player...it may not be a lot, but it's a lot to a student who makes $0.00 a month.

Re: No to the iPod HiFi (Maybe I'm not as much of a fanboy as I thought)
Lots of speaks here, one thing. I can get a doc connector and have a iPod connected to my very expensive home system.
The question is, which one of these speakers match all of which Apple Hi-Fi can do?
Oh, and I'm for the Klipsh speakers. I have them from my home 5.1 sound system ( Center, Mains, Surround , Sub, with this receiver).
they do not hiss
But of coarse, they are not portable and not able to run on "D" batterys.
