The cool thing about a wedding in a place like that is...
a) you can invite everyone you know, but you're guaranteed to have small wedding since only close friends and family will show up.
b) if you get married on the beach everyone can dress semi casual. It's too damn hot, sticky, and sandy to wear anything else.
c) the plane flight is a few hundred bucks, but once you're there everything is relatively cheep compared to the states.

Yeah, I like the idea of destination weddings like that too.  If I hadn't just started a new job, it might have been something to consider.  But the way it stands now, I don't think I'll have enough vacation time saved up by the wedding to take more than just a couple of days off.  Plus, we're buying a house (12 days till closing!) so it will be awhile before we can afford a really good trip anyway.  Maybe we'll go somewhere warm when winter rolls around.
