Re: With Apple's 30th anniversary approaching
I didn't have to register.
With my best friend at my side,
I face the new day in full stride.
I don't know what the future holds,
But I'll be waiting, proud and bold.

I wonder what the 30th Anniversary Macintosh will look like? I'm even more anxious to find out how much it'll cost!

Re: With Apple's 30th anniversary approaching
$30,000
It comes with a car. 16 processors. 32GB of RAM. And a toaster.
Any bread toasted in this Apple Toaster which is then buttered will always land butter-side-up, and on a napkin, thus eliminating the need for the 5-Second Rule.
Oh, and it comes with a beer tap too (kept cool by the processors, which absorb heat rather than dissipating it).

Re: With Apple's 30th anniversary approaching
There are a million speculations on what's to come on the anniversary date. My bet is on nothing. I hope I'm wrong.

I bet the 30th anniversary Mac will be a kick-ass Intel rig (or at least as kick-ass MacIntel rigs can get.) Maybe some SLI action.

Re: With Apple's 30th anniversary approaching
Tomorrow (April 1, 2006), and nothing is planned.
There will not be a 30th anniversary Mac, just like there wasn't a 25th anniversary one, and Steve Jobs HATED the 20th Anniversary Mac.
Are we seeing a trend here?

When they get around to doing a next-gen Newton (tableture-style all-in-one gadget) they should license Alan Kay's 'DynaBook' trademark.
I'd love to have a DynaBook!
2.3 - What are "Blanks"?
Blanks are people who have either fallen off the information nets, or taken themselves off deliberately. Usually known and addressed by their first names with "Blank" as a title - Blank Reg, Blank Bruno, and Blank Dom(inique) are three we get to know well.

Given that it is tomorrow, and the invitations haven't been sent, don't you think it is a bit late?
Nothing happened for the 25th, and I don't expect anything for the 30th, 35th, 40th, etc. or as long as Steve Jobs is CEO.
