Sure there is.
Hollywood in General.
Trying to say "there is no they" is a semantic attempt at ignoring the point.
How can I attempt to ignore your point when I can't for the life of me figure out what it is?
There are entire magazines and TV shows dedicated to the "they" - in fact, my Cable sevice carries an entire channel dedicated to the "they".
...but you're not talking about "Hollywood in general," correct? You're talking about a certain subset of Hollywood that has allegedly made statements concerning foreign oil or "politics"...and then something about all of "Hollywood" buying SUVs.
However, how can your point stand when you can't substantiate it with a single example?

I still don't get how driving a hybrid is the litmus test for speaking out on any political issue.

Unless you become as little children, there's no way you will believe this crap.

My stance - as expressed in my original post - if they are going to be political voices, then they better damn well set an example - because people DO watch what they do and emulate.
So if they are going to try to influence politics - they have a responsibility to set examples that create real change.
And not just holleywood - but Nashville as well.
I'd settle for the politicians in Washington setting better examples, and creating real change, especially in things like energy conservation/alternatives.
Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet." They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew.
