Mounting a PC Network Drive On Startup?
[EDIT]:
Sorry, just noticed this posted twice. My browser crashed while it was sending the other one, and I didn't see that it had posted already.[/EDIT]
Using OS 10 10.3.9.
Every day, I have to mount a PC network drive (smb://). Sure it's only a couple of clicks from the GO menu, but is there a way to automatically mount a PC network drive upon startup each time?
Of course, I could leave the machine on all night, but I'd rather shut down each evening.
I tried adding it to startup items for my account but that didn't work.
I tried making an alias on the desktop, which does show up when I restart, but OS says it's broken and suggests I either fix it or delete it.
Thanks.

Re: Mounting a PC Network Drive On Startup?
I've never done this with a PC drive, but I believe this will work. I had a similar problem on my Mac network. I have one PC in the network that I have yet to set up network filesharing - so who knows if this will work or not- but my research may be useful to you.
Visit www.hornware.com for sharepoints and sharepoint automounter software for Mac filesharing.
Then there's http://www.lavasoftware.com/fileshare.html for PC filesharing.
Both sets of software are free, so go for it.
Good luck
