Re: X3
Agreed. Really disappointing if you read the comics, or if you know anything about the X-Men. UGhhhh. Now I have to wait for X-Men 4.

Yeah, they did mess with the character background story a lot but it was okay.

Re: X3
It was all worth it. I thought it was fun. Not great, but loads and loads of eye candy and that one Juggernaut quote. Some will know what I mean. Oh, and I totally almost yelled out "LEEROY!" near the end. ^_^

Re: X3
I liked it and thought that it was a fitting end to the trilogy. It also left an opening for more movies, which I will want to see also. I even loved the all to obvious Dell, 360 and PS3 product placements but thats for a different reason. I liked the way that they made Jean looked when she changed.

Having not read the comics, hopefully I won't find it as disappointing as you. Regardless, it's a movie, which isn't meant to follow the story it's based on exactly. Same as movies based on books.

Re: X3
I like this Dark Phoenix better than the damn alien background story. I loved it, although the actors weren't as comfortable as they were w/ Brian. They basically turned Jean Grey into Wanda Maximoff, though. Of course, I've rarely read too much of the regular Xmen (only the current Ultimate incarnations, which I prefer exponentially). The Shi'ar (sic) stuff never, ever really got me excited. It was too hokey. Not as bad as Onslaught or Magneto's clone or Cable, but still not really that interesting to me. Creating this Phoenix/Scarlett Witch character hybrid was really, really smart.

Are you saying that this is my weekend of smurfy movies? I was dragged to Da Vinci Code last night, a movie I had no intention of seeing, and now I find out X-Men is terrible.

That movie was so disappointing. I didn't even read the book, and I still wasn't surprised. Even my husband said it wasn't good, and he did read the book.
I have heard from numerous people that Mission Impossible III is really good.

Re: X3
I really enjoyed X-Men 3. I do think that they were a bit over-zealous in killing the X-Men, but it will be interesting to see if all of them are truly dead come the fourth movie. I still think that the second one was my favorite, though.

Wow. I really shouldn't read a thread on a movie I haven't seen. Thanks!

No, I didn't give away anything near the ending. I guess from the way I worded it, I can see how you can see that it seemed like part of the ending, but believe me, it's really nothing.
Edit: BTW, for those of you who are going to see it, stay after the credits.

Re: X3
Ok, I guess I was a little harsh on what I said. It's a good movie, but I would have liked to see them stay a bit more focused and remain true to the comics. I have to say though, the best part of that movie was Kitty.

Re: X3
Yeah Kitty was by far the best part. Oh and ak, can you send a message on what happens after the credits? I was so dissapointed that I walked out of there ASAP.
By the way, did anyone else notice the massive continuity error?

Which one?

That pissed me off soooooo much.
I saw this movie with a bunch of friends, who are even nerdier than I am. We were arguing over the very plausability a girl walking through walls. We eventually concluded that she somehow can convert matter into energy (e=mc^2, LoL).

Could you copy and past it to me. I left because I was sick and not from the movie but from a damn kid cold.

Re: X3
Okay, after the credits, Magneto turns the entire city of New York into a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. (Chunky peanut butter, which is a HUGE continuity flaw from issue #124)

I googled an answer I can just link to to make this easier. Click here to see what happens after the credits. Though it's a spoiler, you won't actually get it unless you've seen the movie. (note: you'll need to select the black box)
