Re: X3
I thought it was great. I didn't mind the retconning of the characters to fit into the film's story. As for the thing after the credits, I saw it coming, but I was a little disappointed, since it took away the emotional impact of the, uh, thing that it negated in the first place. And believe me, I was very emotional during that, uh, thing.
And yeah, I'm glad Cyclops was, you know. Besides, didn't he leave the franchise to tag along with Bryan Singer to do Superman?

Yup. And how fast can Angel fly from New York state to San Fran. I'm only "guessing" he left first - realize everyone else had to get their uniforms on.

they must've spent all of the CG money on Magneto & Phoenix to come up with him.

well, considering the other liberties they took, I think that he probably was in most of the scenes, except they now decided that Gambit is a stealth mutant, and they didn't want to acknowledge that he was there, cuz then he would feel bad and leave the other XMen.

Either that or he took a plane.

There. Happy? You caught them in a technical detail. I believe tradition demands that you be awarded an official Marvel No-Prize for that.

They also didn't move the entire Golden Gate Bridge, just a good portion of it.

Re: X3
Arguing about the feasibility of X3 is smart.
Especially since the very premise behind the xmen (mutants who sprout different magic powers... as opposed to flippers and tumors), is flawless.

I must agree that some people need to relax a bit more when going to a movie. Or possibly increase their fiber intake.
I liked The DaVinci Code a lot. ( I read the book. )
I liked X-Men III a lot. ( I never read the comics. )
They are movies. I was entertained. Works for me.
( Did I mention that Angel is hot?)

Re: X3
I saw the movie and it was actually fairly decent. It was inferior to the first two as a result of being made by a less talented director, but it was entertaining. The other two would have been an 8 in my book, while this one was a 7.
The acting was noticeably not very good but the special effects and fight sequences more than made up for that. Gramar did a fairly good Beast and some of the other characters were also enjoyable.
The Angel should have been an adult and not a child, as that character was one of the original X-Men. However, it seemed the director thought a link between the target audience and the cast was needed and he fit the role.
In the comic there is a similar character virtually identical to the young version of Angel in this film. The character was called "Icarus". In a recent story arc the character may have been killed.

Re: X3
I thought the story sucked, but the eye candy was amazing. They just tried to pack too much into this one movie
I really liked the way they did Angel's scenes. It's just he was kind of thrown in and out. He wasn't essential to the story at all. The scene where he breaks out was very good, but the music was a little too cheesy.

Either you like a movie, or you don't.
Taste in movies and music varies greatly. I don't think you can just write off a differing opinion to someone not being "relaxed" in their movie viewing! (Whatever that means.)

Re: X3
I'm digging up this thread since the movie was released on DVD a few days ago. I saw it for the first time and was extremely disappointed. The movie just seems forced. The script at times is horrid and contrived. Gone is Brian Singer's character development and social relevance. Brett Rattner decided to go the other way. The movie is all about explosions and action. As a film completely separate from the other two it works on those merits, but its meant to be a sequel. Rattner took way too many liberties. I've only read a few of the comics, so this is not a dispute into that territory. Its just another movie to throw in the "Action" pile. Hopefully they won't extend the pain further with another sequel. Let it die already.

Either that or fix the damage in this one with a sequel.
It was cool on a action standpoint, (I love the scene with Gene + Xavier) but I agree that it was disappointing in many other ways. However, I would have to say: they kept with the tradition of killing characters without actually killing them.

Re: X3
I'm going to wait until I can buy the DVD used, or for a big discount. The first two were worth buying for full price, but this one will be bought mostly for completion's sake.
