Mexico's Constution, illeagal Immigration, and criminal activities.

Deputy Foreign Minister Gerónimo Gutiérrez recently acknowledged that Mexico's immigration laws were "tougher than those being contemplated by the United States," Source

Actually it isn't just tougher on paper, it is in their constitution...

Under Article 123 of the General Population Act, illegal immigration is an offense punishable by up to two years in prison and a fine of up to 5,000 pesos, or about $450. Typically, any crime with a punishment of a year or more is considered a felony.

Article 118 of the act says foreigners who are deported and then later attempt to re-enter the country without authorization can be punished with up to 10 years in prison.

Under Article 73, local police must cooperate with federal immigration authorities when asked to help enforce the nation's immigration laws.

As set forth in several articles of the act, immigrants are admitted into Mexico according to their potential to "contribute to the national progress" and must have the income needed to support themselves.

Article 9 of the constitution says only citizens may assemble to "take part in the political affairs of the country." Under Article 33, noncitizens "may not in any way participate in the political affairs of the country."

As of where the US doesn't have anything stating of the sort...

I don't know about people here, but this is the epitome of hypocrisy... Mexico is bitching that us putting a wall up across the US, and putting the military on the border is a bad thing, and we should be more "nice" to the illegal immigrants that come across to the US, when their own constitution makes our laws seem down right friendly...

Oh, and on that same note, you notice how we (US citizens, and a country as a whole) are expected to give them SS benefits etc, welfare checks and everything else, while the third line down of the quote above states that the immigrants need to contribute to the national progress, and must have the income to support themselves...  so what is wrong with us demanding the same thing?

I personally say that if they can't support themselves, can't help better the US as a whole, and do nothing more than collect a check for just walking across the border, and getting SSI or something of the sort on our bill... I say export them and tell them to never come back.

Oh, and for those who think that those who are coming over the US illegally are good people, did you hear about the last bit about how the people cause in the last raid in Mass weren't the shining examples of good people? Link I think not...

If these are the people that are coming across the border after we export them, they should be identified, and if they are found to be crossing the border after identification, the people patrolling the border should have the authorization to shoot them, and ship their body back to Mexico, in a body bag with their record attached to their body...

Bullet: $1.00
Body bag: $18.00
Bulk shipping: $150.00 (per body on average)
Country free of criminal illegal aliens: Priceless.

For those who think I'm being cruel... cry me a river... the US has some of the most lax illegal immigration laws in the world... I say it is about time we start doing something about it... and giving illegal aliens amnesty isn't the right way of doing it.
