New Balance is a good company. They have never closed down a US factory. Thats not to say they havent expanded to other labour cheap countries, but they have never closed a US factory yet. I like that, but I dont like their look.

Re: Your shoes.
I've amassed a decent collection of shoes. My favs are
Simples
and
Sketchers
I've owned 3 pairs of each of these over the last few years.

Puma shoes are great. I have owned 3 pairs so far and each has been long wearing and very comfortable. Sorry too lazy to post pics.

Re: Your shoes.
I usually wear Born shoes for everyday wear. Here's a couple of styles similar to some I have, although I have several pair.

In summer I knck around in my Keen Newport H2s:
I also have some Converse All-Stars -- a red pair and a black pair, and Adidas gym shoes.

I have really wide feet, and I discovered only about 5 years ago that New Balance is the only make of shoe that fits me correctly.
Yep, me too. New Balance is the only tennis shoe with real widths (I wear at least a 4E), and I find them a lot more comfortable than "dress" shoes, even when I find them wide enough. For that reason, I wear black NBs at work (which technically doesn't allow tennis shoes), but I've never had any complaints.
Hey, the uppers are leather, & I polish them
Other than work, I have a couple of other pairs of NBs that I wear, and a pair of "clod-hoppers" (hiking boots) that I wear when the snow gets deep. At home, though, I generally go barefoot.

Re: Your shoes.
Docs, Filas, Pumas, never sandals, slides, or flip flops. I'm trying to be open to the sandal thing, but that whole Roman Soldier or David and Goliath thing I just can't get past. Also there are those sandals that look like some kind of hi-tch hiker sandal that I see a lot, with nylon/foam straps buckling the foot at every angle, they just seem to reek of no style sense. HOWEVER, after seeing the movie Kung Fu Hustle, the character The Beast wore some really nasty plastic Chinatown style sandals that only he could pull off to be suddenly way cool, so if i could exude the aura of The Beast, that's what I'd wear for a sandal.

Re: Your shoes.

From left to right.
Top row.
-Martial arts shoes I used for a production of the Mikado. These are actually my dad's as I didn't feel like looking for mine. Mine have cotton soles and are so comfortable!
-My Hiking boots. I need to clean and sno-seal them.
-My steel toed work boots. Purchased for when I was going to work as a forest fire fighter. The government bastards hired Californians for cheaper though.
(No offense to any californians)
-Winter boots. (I usually use my hiking boots though. More comfy)
-Sandals.
-My rugby cleats. Ah, I think I got all the blood stains out of them.
Second row
-My tap shoes. Dancers get all the chicks, I swear!
-One of my jazz shoes. These are usually what I wear on stage for shows. I didn't feel like cleaning my room enough to find the second one.
-Dress shoes I got second hand. I hate dress shoes.
-Some casual, but slightly dressy slip on shoes I got for work. Nice and comfy.
Third row
-My weightlifting shoes. Ahh. "You can do anything but lay off of my blue suede shoes." They're swedish.
-Runners. I liked these ones cause they look outdoorsie and they had aggressive tread. Not as durable as I like though, I'm going to have to make some new eyelets for the laces, they're eating through the fabric loops.

Re: Your shoes.
I have some really nice shoes to match my formal and semi formal dresses. Other than that, I wear the same shoes every single day. I tend to stick to either Nike or New Balance walking or cross training shoes since I'm on my feet a lot waiting tables.
I recently bought a pair of pink and white Nikes that I'm saving for my 39 mile Breast Cancer Walk in October. I'll wear them a few times before to get them broken in, but since Pink's the theme, I couldn't resist. Most of the time, colors don't matter, comfort does.
And, it's ok, Jkahless...we all have moments of sheer boredom.

My new Doc Martens just came in Friday. Mine of 11 years finally got a small hole in the side.
I got the exact same pair. I'm worried as they say "Made in China". (They were always made in good old England as they are English born shoes!) Also, they have some new flex sole.
They feel as sturdy, as well built and as comfortable (still got to break them in) as my old ones but only time will tell.

Teva's are the best sandal money can buy. The really $$$ ones are molded to fit your feet. I'm due for a new pair next year as I got paint on mine!
