Glad you brought that up.  I forgot about that.  Furthermore, she's not licenced in any of the philosphical disciplines, and, if I recall, she does not have a PhD and no license to practice psychotherapy either.

Dr. Laura plays the same game as Ann Coulter. She spouts off insane crap to rile people up and pander to morons.

Don't be roping in Dvorak with those phonies. Dvorak is a genius.

The real question is, why are Americans so attracted to listening to people like Dr. Laura (who is not a real DR.), Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh (or a handfull of other jack*** morrons) who sit in judgement of others and berate those in our society that are easy to pick on?  They are bullies, pure and simple.  Why does a large segment of the American population like these bullies?  If people didn't like them or their message, then they wouldn't be on the radio.

So is that you sounding superior to her and her audience and claiming authority to put down those of her segment that you don't like?

Maybe she's not the only hypocrite. (look in a mirror)

I'm always amazed by the people who call in to her show. They know what she's going to say and they know that she's going to rake them over the coals, yet they call anyway. They deserve what she dishes out. They shouldn't be airing their dirty laundry on national radio.

The fact is, her advice is usually pretty right on. Unfortunately, her delivery is downright mean most times. But some people need to hear the truth that harshly before they will do anything about it. There is a need to be honest when giving someone advice (that, she is good at), but it also needs to be tempered with love (that, she is not so good at).

BTW, for those who say she is not licensed, nor a "doctor", Here are her education cridentials:

I used to like listening to her show just for the pure humor of it. I used to call it "listening to stupid people". Because you just had to be stupid to call her show and not know what you were in for. Most of her advise was right on but I sure wouldn't counsel people that way.

Hypocrite:
The practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which ones own behavior does not conform.

It seems that you don't like her because she thinks that she's superior to others. While at the same time you are saying that you are superior to her.

You complain about her while doing the same thing.





Its ok. We're all hypocrites. You can be a hypocrite and still be speaking the truth. If the only reason why you don't like her is because she's a hypocrite then that's not good enough. If you don't like her because she's a bully then fine.

I'm just here to correct some falacies that were being spread in here.
