A farewell to Shnicky
Not exactly a political thread, but being a regular I figured it might be okay.
As many/most of you know, I'm headed for West Africa to do some development work for six months. I leave this weekend! So after tonight it might be some time (or not) before I'm back in MiniThink.
So dudes, keep up the good battling. Don't let the place go to hell without me!

But who's going to dig up news tidbits from the wires and give us the political scoop on that big country up North?
Good luck on your trip!
It is an odd thing, but every one who disappears is said to be seen at San Francisco. It must be a delightful city, and possess all the attractions of the next world.

I might not lurk so much if Shnicky didn't get to everything first and explain it in far greater detail than I could hope to.
Best of luck, Shnick!

SIX MONTHS!
That makes your retun POST our mid-term elections! Bush will have invoked some Gonzo creation and annexed everything north of the 48th parallel...
West Africa. Senegal, perchance?
Well, bon voyage and consider me quoting all the above.

Ghana, actually. A town called Sunyani -- west-central area of the country.
I leave Sunday. Getting just a tad freaked. It's gonna be hot hot hot! But I'll be close to one of the world's greatest national parks, full of wild animals (elephants, gazelles, hippos, monkeys ...). So I'll feel like I've got a front-row seat to the mid-terms!

Boy the forum is going to be a lot less busy with you gone, you make like 10% of the threads here!
But have a fun time, we'll keep your spot on the forums warm for you... however that would work.
I could bore you with a philosophical tirade about freedom and tyranny, or try and explain to you what new horizons are suddenly open to me, but I doubt you would understand and if you did it might frighten you. That amuses me.
