Maybe it does?
Looks a lot like windows mobile for smartphones. As far as I can find out it's only expected to have wan capabilites. Maybe that explaines the antenna in the menu bar or maybe they just used the mobile destop for the prototyping, oorrrr... It's photoshopped.
Either way it's a pda or a pda phone that forces you to subscribe to hear your music. Most smarthones and PDAs can already download and play music, except you actually get to own it.
Maybe it's like .net. A big market-research hoax and they are waiting for people to speculate the features for them.

Ummm, what is "it". I'm assuming it is some sort of wireless porn-poker fusion machine but that is just a guess.

The phone icon is wireless, nothing to do with a phone (my edumacated guess).
If it had phone capabilities it would not be an iPod killer. That simple.

It's not ugly.. The interface may look like crap but, the face of the device is much like an iPod.
The only reason why you guys are biased is because it's a Microsoft product... For that I call it a peice of crap but it's still not ugly.

The interface would be the main thing I am looking at when I declare that thing crap. All those little buttons on top, and a Windows-like start button? Give me a break. This is not a laptop or even a PDA - it's a music player. I am sorry, MS, but you can't just slap your crappy windows-like interface everywhere and think that it is an acceptable interface. If that thing is correct, then it will flop worse than the Dell DJ.
