Well, I guess not....

Can you tell us in 1000 words or more what it was?

That's kinda cool, but I don't know what the hints are.

Re: Leopard Hints-- From Apple

Eh, the biggest "hint" is the gigantic new tower that looks just like the G5... as rumored.

Re: Leopard Hints-- From Apple

Maybe it looks just like a G5 because it _is_ a G5. All the other icons (FireVault, Dashboard, CoreImage/Video,...) are actually hinting at Tiger. I guess this photograph is from last year's WWDC.

Not likely, unless Apple went back in time and released a black macbook...

I hope that big hammer will be used on the head of the Finder Dev team.

The old guy quit. I suspect it'll take at least a full version upgrade (10.4->10.5) for the new guy to sort through the Finder issues left by the old guy and fix them.

I wont be holding my breath, the OSX Finder has been broken from day one and Apple shows no inclination what so ever to do anything about it.

The only new (next week new, not past few months new) thing on there is the Leopard DVD.

I wont hold my breath either however I will at least note that Avie Tevanian who led Apple Computer's software development efforts up to 10.4 was a chief opponent of Apple making the changes that would fix the broken finder is gone, meaning the odds have gone from no chance to at least slim chance.

That is true, while Avie was talented and all his distain for practically everything "Macintosh" stands for was pretty obvious and well known.

Re: Leopard Hints-- From Apple

Why did Avie T oppose Fixxing the F_ing Finder? I mean, what sort of argument did he make? Simplicity of use? Scarce resources needed elsewhere?

Re: Leopard Hints-- From Apple

The only new icon(s) are 64 bit (duh) and Universal Binary (even bigger duh).

Some people are looking too much into the smaller speakers on the laptop, for some sort of replacement for the 12" PB.

Sorry guys, nothing to see here.  Move along now.  Steve's holding the cards VERY close on this one.  I wouldn't expect to hear much until right before release - to swallow Vista.

Yeah, this is the least amount of info we've had about a new OS ever.

Re: Leopard Hints-- From Apple

I think the interesting things are the Filevault icon (when is the last time they updated FileVault?) and the 64 Bit icon
