Snakes on a Plane Wins an A+ in Marketing
...in my book.
Now you can have Samuel L. Jackson call your buddies and tell them to go to the movie with you. And it's FREE!
Dang, ain't computers cool?!
Check the Snakes on a Plane website, I'm not gonna post it lest I be accused of spamming or something worse.

Re: Snakes on a Plane Wins an A+ in Marketing
I just saw an ad for this movie… I can't believe how fake those snakes look. for the amount of money that goes into making one of these hollywood flicks you would think you could get somone to make a decent snake. combine that with samL jackson's acting and you have… a… well a movie that I'm not going to waste my money on.

Some of the snakes are cgi - but a lot of them are real.
Here's a podcast with the snake handler - http://kingsnake.com/radio/jules_sylves … 22006a.mp3
That being said - I'll see it when I can netflix it, the plot looks totally un-interesting.

Too bad they didn't realize the most effective method of stopping the snakes: turning up the AC.

I think you're missing the whole point if you see SoaP at home. You need to watch that movie with as many people as possible.
I'm watching it on opening night at the Grand Lake in Oakland, and I'm going to yell and laugh at the screen with a couple hundred other people. That's how you watch mother smurfing snakes on a plane.

Really? You've seen it?
Look, I don't want to get all MiniThink on your ass, but you're judging it without having seen it. Not cool.
Although I wouldn't exactly say I disagree with you.
Personally I'm waiting for the DVD.

It's going to be damn interesting if dry humor and stupid violence is your thing.

Re: Snakes on a Plane Wins an A+ in Marketing
My first thought when I saw the trailer and they gave the plot was "HOW high were these guys when they made this film?"
Let's see. I'm a Kung Fu killer Ninja and to get rid of my "enemy" I'm going to fill an airplane with poisonous snakes and hope they bite him. yeah.

"Yeah, well, he doesn't have to hope (that they bite him), not if he brings the whole (mother-smurfing) plane down."

Snakes on a Train, a rip-off beating it to cinemas by three days.

Barbara, please. How you spell Oscar is with Dakota Fanning and an artfully done rape scene with the mood being set with the best of Elvis.

Anyway, back on topic:

There was a suggesting of buying rubber snakes to throw around the audience during certain parts of the film. That would make it worth it, though it would also probably get me banned from the theatre.

I luv this quote:
"I don't know if snakes have a booty, but I know Samuel L. Jackson kicks some in this campy classic! I even thought I saw some Homeland Security guys in the crowd taking notes, just in case. "

It's amazing. It's not a movie, it's an experience. The audience will break into applause without warning, it is glorious.
