Gentlemen start your drooling...
A new cool display the Radius seamlessly combines three 20 inch displays into one very wide display with a slight curving.

Now, where in the name of... did I put that thing that I forgot what it was and why I was looking for it?

Re: Gentlemen start your drooling...
If they're going to sell me on a "seamless" display they'd better have more then Solidworks renderings of the device.
I've been developing some products with LCD modules, and from what I can gather, they must be pulling the LCD modules away from the screen. If you look at the back of the case, the right and left modules push back towards the center display, and the center display seems to rest quite far back.
If I had to bet, I'd say they do not have magical borderless LCD modules. They're probably using a projection-like setup to mask the borders of the LCD modules. That immediately makes me question the clarity of the device.

They no longer produce the Horizon, which was basically the same thing. I bet it's the price that turns people away. You could just buy 3 lcd's and I bet they would look nicer and be cheaper.

Still, it looks cool and thats the only thing I was looking at. It's a cool idea but it might not work in reality...

I think it is a cool concept.
Reminds me of a song from a certain musical about a russian Jew and his daughters that kept falling in love.

I prefer separate monitors to larger monitors. I'm not sure how they make this look to the computer, but I like separation. That way, one monitor can play a movie while I work on another one, etc. If this acts like one monitor than its not so hot in my opinion.

Re: Gentlemen start your drooling...
Since the title of this topic is so "universal" I'll continue on a similar matter. How about this monitor from Sharp? Pretty cool eh? Might even be cooler than the other one.

I've seen info on that sharp display, but not pictures. I guess if you have mirrors like that, you really could have 3 displays in one.

I wonder if it would be possible to use that display to show a 3d image without glasses...
