I posted this yesterday in another section but I guess no one is smart enough to help me out. So I am hoping there is someone in this section who can.

I am trying to run a vent server on my new G5, but everytime I run "ventrilo_srv" it tells me in the terminal window this:

Ventrilo Server - Public - Version 2.3.1
(c)Copyright 1999-2005 Flagship Industries, Inc.

Unable to open configuration file 'ventrilo_srv.ini'.
ERROR: Unable to read configuration data. Exiting.
logout
[Process completed]

any ideas how to have this up and running?

ps the client side works great and I have already edited the ini file to my settings

I cant believe all of you are not smart enough to figure this out. I know that I am not, and that is why I posted here. Surely there must be someone who can answer my questions? Has no one ever had this problem? Is it possible that Ventrilo put the wrong file on the website for macintosh?

At risk of sounding "not very smart" are there any posts on the official Vent forums? I ran a Vent server briefly a while ago, but never encountered that error. Leaving for vacation for a week, otherwise I'd try to start one up again from home. Good luck.

Ya I checked the vent forums as well and cant seem to find any information regarding this. I am wondering if they linked the wrong file to the mac link so that is why its not working. I will try to DL the file again and see how it works.

If anyone else has any thoughts....
