Re: BC Collector's Pre-Order
It was up for preorder for about a day and then they ran out of online sales at EB/Gamestop. Don't know about other places.

Re: BC Collector's Pre-Order
I just don't waste time on preorders. Half the time the seller doesnt get enough in so your stuck waiting on a preorder or you have to pay for another copy. When it comes out, i'll be just walking into a Target or something and buying it there.

I'm with NC on that. I'll probably wait until they have their first massive patch, the first or second Tuesday after its released.

There is going to be a rather massive patch whether you buy the xpack or not.

Yes, so I want to wait until that's over. Why risk a major bug on my computer?

Well, I was just saying that whether or not you buy the xpack - if you plan on playing WoW period you'll be dling a huge patch (larger for those that don't buy it actually).

Re: BC Collector's Pre-Order
Meaning the patch required for those not upgrading to TBC in order to accurately view the TBC players when they deign to visit the older portions of Azeroth?
Yeah, well

Less risk, as that will probably just be a whopping load of new textures and models.

Re: BC Collector's Pre-Order
Not really - it's giving you everything that BC has, you just can't access it. Still have to get the stuff to see people with jewels, the new voices, etc.

Re: BC Collector's Pre-Order
I'm sure the client application will be getting the same code changes too.. why would they want to maintain two seperate code bases that have to remain compatible?
No, I think you'll get the same bugs whether you buy TBC or not...

Re: BC Collector's Pre-Order
I don't think the 2.0 patch is going to give you the zone specific stuff. But it should include about everything else.

Eh, I wouldn't be surprised if it lets you visit the starting areas/capitols for the new races... basically all of the non-instance/outland stuff. You won't be able to do the quests there though.

Re: BC Collector's Pre-Order
Nope, they won't let you. There are instance portals similar to how the tram works. If you don't have tbc you can't load in there.

I know. If they were going to limit the zones like that at least just put in an invisible barrier.

Re: BC Collector's Pre-Order
There will be a content patch (like was mentioned) for non-BC purchasing players that allows them to experance a few things that BC has to offer, the least of which are new models, textures, graphic files, and supposedly a new graphics engine. Expect the patch to be quite large indeed.
