Perfect night of WoW
Anyone have a perfect night of WoW recently? Tonight my priest alt got grouped up with a tank who was awesome. We ended up grouping all night, finishing sfk 5 times in a few hours and bfd once very quickly. Got me some new gear, a level and a half and never had a bad group. Overall we just owned everything we did. Only wiped once in bfd when we got a little crazy and pulled about 15 guys in a row nonstop. Just about had it too. We were down to two guys left when our druid finally bit the dust. Can't wait to get another level or two and work up to rfk and then sm.

Usually it isn't with a pug so you got lucky. Put that warrior on your friend list.

Indeed.
Once, many moons ago, I met this amazing warrior - together with my friendly druid and the warrior's brother (a rogue) we pwned Sunken Temple a few dozen times in a week. Random pickups = teh awesome.

Re: Perfect night of WoW
Yeah, Ive been in some pugs that have actually been better then guildie groups! When I was trying to do Jailbreak with my main I spent about 8 hours one day with guild group after guild group that kept wiping in the room where Windsor is suppoused to get his gear. Even after all that work we still didnt get it. I was in a pug trying it again that was almost done in like less then 30 mins and then the server restarted
.
Heh, one of the best tanks I ever met was a feral druid when I was on my priest doing a DM tribute run. Considering my abysmal failures at tanking in bear form (tho my dr00id isnt feral) and not having grouped with a good feral tank before I didnt really think they could be a sucessful MT. Heh, though it was an adventure trying to heal someone with ~+7500 HP as a priest with less then +100 healing gear in a place where they hit as hard as they do in DM.
I wish I had saved my old friendslist before it got wiped becuase there was some pretty incredible players I had PuGd with, but I have met some more since. heh, I grouped with a mage earlier this week, him and my priest were duoing trash mobs in UD strat

Going into Naxx, with a seemingly perfect raid composition, with all your best players, going through and killing 7-9 bosses in one night, with less then 2 wipes, good loot, and getting done at 12:30, makes me a happy camper, just one of those nights where everything flows well, everyone's working together and having fun. Makes for great nights.

Oh, he's in there. It was just a good night. I started out intending to work on hitting 60 with my mage (she's 58) but I saw a chance to run sfk and thought i'd rather heal for that then grind out 200,000 xp. I do need to get that done though. I finally got her into a nice guild (400 toons) and I need to get those last few levels to start raiding. Then I can enjoy what chris is talking about

Re: Perfect night of WoW
I wish I had more time to relax and heal on my alt priest. Its really a class I'm starting to love, I just dont have the time anymore, with real life, to do more then raid maybe 2 or 3 nights a week, let alone give my alt some TLC.

I had a great night last night. I stayed in because I have a cold, so I got a BRD group together. All five of us leveled in that run, did everything there is to do in there, and finished in 3 hours. Good times.
I love the powerglove. It's so bad.

BRD is one of those instances that can be amazing with a decent (read: intelligent) group of people, or horrible with a terrible group. It always feels great to finish that place, get everything everyone needs finished and leave satisfied. That place specifically leaves you feeling like you accomplished something by clearing it all.

yeah, i can't stop playing mine. i should have been 60 on my mage weeks ago but i've been neglecting it and just healing runs. it's very relaxing at times but there are huge rushes when a massive pull takes place. it's something i don't generally get from my mage. my mage is just mindless nuking most of the time, occasional sheep pull, and a bit of aoe. only a few times have the sensation of saving everyone's hide whereas my priest loves to save the day...hehe.
oh and to stay on topic most of my time spent playing was the opposite of my first post. i spent the day very frustrated with my groups until my last group with people i had played with before. we blew through bfd only stopping as a group for mana twice. the rest of the time we literally ran to a mob got it to half health and pulled it to the next mob to start all over again. still no pants for my priest though and the staff didn't drop either. twas fun though
fastman: that sounds like a great run. grats on the level.

Yeah, last night I had the opportunity to heal the Deadmines on my 17 alt priest, who is normally a bit low for VC, but, the kicker... it was a 3 man. hehe. Had a level 24 warrior and 26 hunter, and then lil' lowbie me. Made it through in just over an hour, was a blast! No corsair's overshirt though.

Re: Perfect night of WoW
We had a complete ZG run in under 4 hours a few weeks ago for smurf and giggles. No wipes; hell few deaths. It was the same run as the tiger mount drop. That was one of the "perfect nights".

Man, I hate Zul'Garub.
Edit: I just clicked your profile iBubba and you have a Felstriker. Congrats man, I've wanted one for like 2 years, never been able to get one. It's an amazing pvp weapon, even when you get a higher dps offhand, and is pretty much the best seal fate weapon in the game. Keep that thing around.

I can do ZG with my eyes closed. Literally. We have been in that smurf-heap for months, but it is a good place to "train" the initiates and get them instep for "teamwork" in MC and AQ20.
As far as Felstriker goes, I had to roll off versus a Fury Warrior
I DO love this little blade! But question: Core Hound Tooth > Felstriker

I want one so bad on my fury warrior... It's really an amazing fury weapon, because of flurry, a fury warrior will use that all the way through blackwing lair, and probably through AQ as well. Amazing weapon all around for both classes.

I've only run deadmines once and it wasn't really running it. I had a 60 warrior friend take me through to get the wand at the end. Seems like a fun instance, though could be a bit of a challenge for a group of us lowbie hordies to make it to. All in all though it's better then wailing caverns (i hate wc).

It depends. Low level leatherworkers like Wailing Caverns.
However I agree Deadmines is a nice instance. Meh, the overshirt has too much +spirit to be highly desirable. I'd rather have a +stamina and +intellect green shirt.

LoL. I went to deadmines on my level 10 alt mage with mtms I think 18 at the time, noxs paly and phlytos hunter
. good times. she is 16 now, has the corsairs overshirt in the bank waiting for her. I want to go back and get the staff though
. that was fun.
Deadmines is a nice instance but MAN, it can really really suck in pugs.

I ran Deadmines with Alaria when she was just 13. Our highest level was Nelem, at like 18.

Try wailing caverns in a pug. I guess you'd have to be horde (horde only quest) to appreciate the agony when you're going for the crescent staff (you have to kill all four of the lords and ladies) and your group falls apart after killing 3. This doesn't just happen once...but twice or three times.
At any rate, I ran my first wsg with my priest last night right before the shutdowns. It was intense. We lost but it was still a ton of fun. I hadn't really done any pvp with my priest before then and I was quite pleased with how long you can survive with a well time shield and fear bombs. It's nuts how everyone would center there attack on me just because I was healing everyone...hehe. I think i'm gonna stick at 29 for a little while before moving on. I still have my 39 rogue to level up as a side project to my mage so it seems reasonable to me to use my priest to hit up the pvp world.

I still take Raddyn to Deadmines. It is one of the best laid out instances in the entire game, imho.

Re: Perfect night of WoW
heh, even as a holy/disc priest I really enjoy PVPing with that class. My priest is 5-6 bubbles from hitting 60, I plan on doing that tommorrow. Most of the time I spend playing with my hunter its in raids, and although the first dozen or so times in MC/BWL can be fun, it does get kind of old as a hunter just standing around shooting. The most fun I get on her now is soloing/duoing with a friend(and most of that time is spent on my priest), or in AQ 40. I really enjoy healing though. That may change if I start raiding a lot on my priest (although my hunter will still be my main). I had started my priest back before the 1.10 patch and I was doing mostly soloing/questing and it was really painful, I had given the toon up for months, just using her as a bank. I finally came back 2-3 months ago, had a free respec and the class was a lot more fun
. Im almost tempted to level a pvp shandow priest twink :> (although I cant afford to feed more then 3 hungry toons now so that will be a ways off).
And jack, I have tried WC on my ud rogue alt. heh, just a couple times and yeah, that place sucked too. There was two rogues in the group and a blue mace dropped. My rogue had a green and a white weapon so that mace was a nice upgrade for both of us rogues, so we both rolled on it, along with the warrior. The other rogue won it and the warrior hearthed, insisting that we were both ninjas and he was reporting us to a GM
