Intel-compatible Detour-like app?
Hi everyone, I need help.
I just bought a 20" iMac yesterday (yay!) to replace my 17" G5-based (very good machine, but the new ones were enough of an upgrade for me to make the switch) and while I'm very satisfied so far, I've come into a problem. I used to have Detour installed on my machine and found it incredibly useful. For those of you not familiar with the app, what it did was allow you to decide the sound output and volume level for every app individually. So I could have say iTunes, QuickTime, DVD Player, etc. play through my PowerWave connected to my stereo, while system alers, Mail, Adium, etc. would play through the built-in speakers. Sadly, the app is not Intel-compatible and has been abandonned by its developper. So you guessed my next question: anyone know of an Intel-compatible app that will do the same? This could turn out to be quite an annoyance if I don't find such an app.

Thanks a lot.

Does soundsource do it?

Thanks for the suggestion, but no it doesn't do it. I want to be able to set app-specific outputs and volumes.

I used to use Detour, nearly forgot about it. Lately I've been using Sound Menu.
Edit: Oh, app specific? Sorry, this isn't what you're looking for either.
