phpMyAdmin Issues
Hello all-
I'm having a ton of trouble getting my phpMyAdmin to work properly. I've configured it and used it extensively in the past, so this is a pretty big step back for me. I've set up mySQL several times over now, and done several re-installs and re-configures of phpMyAdmin. I'm still exactly where I started.
Basically, I'm able to get onto the database just fine, everything works nicely. I created a regular user with phpMyAdmin for general use. I can log in with it, everything is just fine. So, I know that phpMyAdmin is completely dead. However, then I created a a database. The database creates, everything looks normal. Then I create a table on that database, but I get a blank screen instead of the usual phpMyAdmin field setup screen. Something is seriously borking, and I can't figure it out. My only suspicion is that a permission isn't correct somewhere, but I've set up phpMyAdmin on Mac OS X before and I can't remember any little permission tricks. And I've never encountered this sort of issue on Mac, Windows, or Linux. I'm perplexed!
************************************
EDIT: I finally solved the issue. Somehow one of the table libraries had been renamed with a ".p" extension. It's extra confusing considering I downloaded the latest several times off the phpMyAdmin site. But either way, if you have the same problem, check your file names, and rename the .p's back to .php's. *facepalm*
