F'ing Banks

I've been with the same bank for over 20 years. My family has, as far as I know, always used that bank. The family business puts 7 figures a year through that bank.
Twice I went to them looking for a loan for my business. Twice I was told to apply for a credit card. Twice I did and was rejected even though I told them at the bank I didn't want a damn credit card.
Now, I'm in the process of buying a house. I'm in danger of losing the house because the same damn bank is dragging their heels on the approval. We have bent over backwards to get this deal done fast even going so far as to take a day off work to run papers around getting them signed and faxed. Today is the last day of an extension or the deal falls through.
Time to get a new bank? I think so! Screw you guys, I'm going home!

I feel better now

Re: F'ing Banks

When we bought our house we employed the services of a Buyers Agent. She expedited all that loan stuff for us, it was incredibly easy, she did all of the work and the extra sweet thing is it cost us nothing to use her.
Her fee came out of a split of the realtors commission. If your deal falls thru you might want to look into getting yourself an agent to act on your behalf next time.

Re: F'ing Banks

We have a buyers agent all set up. He has been very helpful. We had a mortgage broker working before him to get us the pre-approval. Now they are dragging their heels on the full approval.
Our agent has suggested we use his mortgage guy though. He's actually getting a little testy about the whole thing. I'm not sure I like him either.

I sense a business opportunity here - a head-hunting firm to help potential home-buyers find compatible mortgage and/or real estate brokers. Y'know, simplify the whole home buying process by adding an extra layer of middleman.

I'm glad everything went through, but I would still look to take your business elsewhere.

Easy enough. The cat stays inside and I'm being given a used mower.
Does this mean I can sit in the front window watching the neighbours and then angrily shake my fist at them?

I'll be laughing when the next massive depression takes away all your un-insured money! tongue

Actually, a massive depression probably isn't much to laugh about...
