Primus last night at Roseland
Killer show! As soon as they started playing it was like getting caught in a riptide of people. Not so much a mosh pit but just a sea of constant pushing and pulling. What a refreshing night.
If you look around the table and can't tell who the sucker is, it's you.

My high-school garage-punk band opened for Primus at the New Varsity theatre in Palo Alto in 1987. We thought they were some artsy new wave band, which at the time they kind of were--they had keyboards and stuff. Then they got totally cool.

did you know that primus is in the battle of the bands on bill and ted's? I've gotten to see primus a couple of times. always a good time.

i'm seeing them friday in chicago, haven't seen them since '93. i hope they are still just as crazy as they were back then.
