Why does FCP keep losing files called "xxxxxxxx-FIN-0000000x"?

Im trying to export some movies, but it seems that randomly the movies are missing some of these files.  Apparently the movie won't play properly without them.  Where do they go?  Why do they disappear?

Those are render files, sometimes they disappear for no (at least to me) discernible reason. The good news is that it's easy to solve. Open your timeline(s) and look for a green or red line over your video track, that will show you what needs to be rendered again. Render, save and you're done, now you can export your movie.
