DRM WMA to Mac-Compatible Format?
I purchased a file that is in WMA format and, based on the title of the file, I assume it uses the Microsoft DRM. This won't play on my mac, nor will it convert (using QuickTime or SoundConverter) to something that will. Is there a program that can help me out? I can gain access to a PC to do a conversion if I need to, but it needs to be able to play on my mac.
Thanks

Try installing Flip4Mac. It allows you to view most Windows Media files on your Mac using QuickTime as the interface. The trial is for the full product which will allow you to EXPORT files, but even after the trial period is over you still have the player which allows you to view files.

Re: DRM WMA to Mac-Compatible Format?
Flip4Mac will work for playing WMA and WMV, but it will not play those files if they are protected by DRM. Even on a PC, you need an app that can decode that DRM; like when you buy a song off of the ITMS and iTunes decodes & plays the song. Peace.
There might be a Hack out there though. Maybe.

I had a similar problem. I burnt them to cd and re-ripped them in iTunes. Illegal, technically - but I did purchase the music, and I haven't shared it. I'm not losing any sleep consequently.
