Favorite holiday food
The holidays have arrived, and with them comes a great deal of traditional foods.
For me the one thing I look forward to the most would be a Puerto Rican dish called pasteles.

It just not Christmas without them.
So what are your favorites

Re: Favorite holiday food
My mom's fudge, some dessert she makes with bourbon and dark chocolate, and and those Russell Stover's chocolate marshmallow Santas. Funny thing is, I don't usually like chocolate!

I love chocolate covered marchmallow santas and snowmen and (insert holiday figure here), and i also love Cellas Chocolate covered cherries (liquid center) which is more widely available during the holidays. I'm also not a big fan of chocolate. I don't hate it, but it's not my favorite.

Hobo. We find them by the railroad tracks and they cook up really nice. At least, if you pickled foods they do . . .

if your gonna talk drinks then for me it's coquito, (pronounced co-ki-to) sort of our egg nog
heres the receipe
Coquito
30 ounces coconut milk
14 ounces condensed milk
1 cup Bacardi rum
½ cup water
pinch of salt
½ tsp. cinnamon
Mix all ingredients in the blender. Taste and add more rum if you like it stronger. You need to add the water because it will get thicker later in the fridge. Pour into a bottle and refrigerate well. Make ahead for richer flavor. Serve in small glassware. Can also be enjoyed with the rum for people who do not drink

depends how strong you like your drinks I have had it both of those ways. Also once in Puerto Rico one of my cousins gave us some with homemade sugarcane rum which is basicly moonshine

Sounds great, and more suited for our xmas climate than egg nog is. I might knock up a batch this season.
