This December weather is wonky. I'm in NY, and it's warmer than California? 43F right now, but yesterday it was about 57F.

No smurf. Boston, too. We've had only a couple days below freezing so far and only about 1/2" of snow. The normal for this time of year is 6"ish and last year we'd had well over a foot by this time. It's 52° right now and the average is 41°.
I live for winter weather and so far this year is just pissing me off. I guess I need to move to Cali.

It's quite warm on the east coast for mid-December. Currently it's 66? in Philadelphia, and the 10-day forecast for Virginia where I will be spending Christmas will be in the 50's the entire time.

I can't really complain about winter here in the Bay Area. That said, if I don't snowboard a lot during the season I notice that my concept of "cold" changes if I never get into the Sierras.
