Game of the Year picks

It's the awards time of year, and various sites are weighing in with their picks. Next Generation and GameSpot both went with Gears of War, while GameSpy and GamesRadar went with the Wii version of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Thoughts:

I'd choose GoW over TP.

Having beaten both, I'd probably give it to Zelda (and for non-fanboi reasons).  Tough, close choice though.

Actually, that was 2005, as RE4 came out in January of '05.

Best game I played this year was Twilight Princess, hand down, but Elite Beat Agents for DS is a close second.

Twilight Princess. Or Gears of War. I'm gonna go with Zelda though, because I am in love with it.

I'm still playing the original call of duty...wake me up in whenever they bring that GeoMod thingy from red faction back, with destructible environments and everything (or if CAL comes back to CoD...that would work too...pipe-dream i know)
