You can try assigning everyone their own towels/washcloths, dishes and various other items until this passes. You're probably passing it amongst yourselves by touching/using the same things.

The kids are going to use their own towels? Better to put the adult towels high out of reach.

I have such faith in children...

Not that my comment needed explaining, but colds etc are spread from direct contact with something the sick person has touched. Much moreso than just being around them. Limiting that contact can help prevent them from giving it back and forth to each other.

Yes, that is true.

Re: Ok, how many of you are sick?

It went faster than usual, about 5 minutes (about 4 scans - hold your breaths). Last time it was like 20 minutes. I don't know if that's good or bad as the results are given to your PCP and she decides what to do next.

Thanks for asking though. I'll post back when I get the results. I think either way, given that I've had respiratory issues for an extended time (since pneumonia was diagnosed in August) now I'm sure I will be referred to a pulmonologist either way (my PCP has basically said as much).

I get sick about once a year but I've been fairly rough on myself up until this point.

I could easily think that the trauma from having your house burn down could cause you feel sick all by it's self, not to mention the effect severe stress has on our immune system.
Take care of yourself. I'd bet you arent even fully aware of all the stress you are carrying now but it can really effect you.

Boy, you aren't kidding.  I dropped 10 pounds that first week even though I was eating fairly normally.  My immune system has basically had its ass kicked by stress.  Today my cough is marginally better but I'm back to the full gamut of cold symptoms.  Oh, to be my husband.  He's not sick.  He just wants his Wii back. tongue

Re: Ok, how many of you are sick?

I've had a little allergy-type symptoms lately, but not sick.

Wife has been sick, son has been sick, boss and his wife have been sick.

I usually start popping the echinacea as soon as someone shows signs of sickness. I even keep it in my toolbox at work...  doesn't seem to help after you are sick though.

Re: Ok, how many of you are sick?

I've got some type of norovirus that's been an epidemic here in Madison.  It sucks. Ass.  Stomach is all bubbly and feels like I'm going to throw up (sometimes I do).  It's just really smurfy.  No other flu-like symptoms though.
